Growing up I never knew what career path to follow. As an extreme introvert, I knew I needed something where I could work behind the scenes.
So I followed the standard life path. I went to college and got a STEM degree. I graduated with a job working 60+ hours a week.
I was making the kind of money I had hoped for, yet I was miserable spending every dime trying to make myself happy.
After a few years of draining myself every single day for a job that couldn't care less about me, I decided to let go of everything and start over.
So I ended my apartment lease, sold my car, quit my job
& bought a one way ticket to Europe.
& you know what...
That was the best decision I ever made
Did everyone think I was crazy? Of course! I think I even did a bit.
But allowing myself to scrap everything that was making me unhappy, allowed me the freedom and space to start over and find what truly made me enjoy life.
Of course finding happiness is a journey.
While traveling I met other people just like myself who refused to be unhappy in a 9-5 job. It was exhilarating to realize that there were other people also willing to give up everything to find a different way to create an income.
That's when I first heard about blogging.
